심리영성치료 연구소(Institute for Psychospiritual Health)의 대표이자, 조지아 주 애틀랜타 심리학 연구소(Psychological Studies Institute)의 심리학 및 영성학 교수다. 또한 심리학자, 영적 지도자, 수련회 리더, 작가 등으로 다양하게 활동하고 있으며 Conversation이라는 잡지의 편집 위원이기도 하다. 저서로는 Sacred Companions, Spiritual Direction and the Care of Soul 등이 있다.
