저자는 콜롬비아 성경대학(B.A.)과 트리니티 신학대학교(M.Div.), 스코틀랜드 세인트 앤드류 대학(Ph.D.)에서 학위를 받았다. 지금은 노스 파크 신학대학 신약 교수로 있다. 저서로는『The Parable of the Wicked Tenants: An Inquiry into Parable interpretation』,『Ephesians in The NIV Appli- cation Commentary』,『Between Two Truths: Living with Biblical Tensions』,『Stories With Intent: A Comprehensive Guide to the Parables of Jesus』등이 있다.
