공학(B.S.)을 전공하고, 개혁신학연구원(1994)에서 목회학 석사(M.Div.) 과정을 공부한 후, 기독교 세계관과 성경신학을 더 깊이 연구하기 위해 미국 세인트루이스 커버넌트신학교(Covenant Theological Seminary, Th.M.)에서 수학하였다. 오랫동안 한인 교회에서 사역하였으며, 지금은 네브래스카 링컨(Lincoln, Nebraska)의 미국 시온교회(Zion Church)에서 사역하며 저술을 하고 있다.

Sungjae Lee is a teaching pastor, a servant of Jesus by the will of God. His goal is to creatively assist church members to grow as mature and authentic covenant people while understanding comprehensive salvation and the grand story of God. His hope is that this brings about change to the community around us based on his understanding of the nature of the church and her relationship with modern culture and ideas in a beautiful but broken world.
